Three Candidates Vie for Two Seats on Norwell Select Board

Voters will head to the polls on Saturday, May 17 to elect two new members to the Norwell Select Board, with three residents officially in the running: Mark Cleveland, John McGrath, and Lorenda “Ren” Layne.
Cleveland, McGrath, and Layne each bring different professional and civic backgrounds to the race, along with distinct ideas on the future of town governance. In separate candidate profiles published by the South Shore Times, each shared their motivations for running and the issues they plan to prioritize if elected.

The Select Board serves as Norwell’s executive body, overseeing town operations, policies, and budgets. The winners of this race will serve a three-year term.
The Annual Town Election will be held on Saturday, May 17, from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Norwell Middle School, 328 Main Street.
