Norwell Police Sgt. William Pasteris Retires After 28 Years
The Norwell Police Department announced the retirement of Sergeant William Pasteris, honoring his 28 years of dedicated service to the town.
A lifelong Norwell resident and 1988 graduate of Norwell High School, Sergeant Pasteris began his law enforcement career in 1997 after graduating from the Plymouth Police Academy. Over nearly three decades, he held a wide range of roles, including Patrol Officer, Detective, Court Prosecutor, and Detective Sergeant. He was promoted to Sergeant in 2018 and earned a reputation for his diligent work at Hingham District Court, where he built strong relationships with prosecutors, judges, and court staff.
Sergeant Pasteris also served as a Military Police Officer in the Army National Guard from 1991 to 1997. Throughout his career, he was recognized for his leadership, mentorship, and commitment to the community.
The Norwell Police Department wished Sergeant Pasteris a happy and well-deserved retirement, praising his impact on both the department and the town.
