Maresco Is Out as Town Administrator In Marshfield

Michael Maresco is no longer the Marshfield Town Administrator.

Accoding to the town's website, the Select Board met in executive session on Wednesday morning. An agenda posted online states the purpose of the meeting was "to discuss the reputation, character, physical condition or mental health, rather than professional competence, of an individual, or to discuss the discipline or dismissal of, or complaints or charges brought against, a public officer, employee, staff member or individual, to wit: Town Administrator."

After the meeting, the Select Board issued a statement saying that they had a "mutual agreement with Michael Maresco to resolve his employment status."

Select board members referred us back to the statement when asked for comment.

Maresco was appointed town administrator in October 2017, and his current contract was scheduled to last until late 2026.
