Firefighters Battle Blaze at Marshfield Restaurant

Mutual aid from four towns responds to overnight fire at former Haddad’s location.

MARSHFIELD - A fire broke out at 291 Ocean Street in Marshfield in the early hours of August 1, 2025. The building, a restaurant named 291 Ocean Street, was formerly the long-time home to Haddad’s Ocean Café.

Firefighters from surrounding communities including Norwell, Duxbury, Kingston, and Pembroke answered Marshfield’s call for mutual aid. 

At this time, there have been no public statements from Marshfield Fire Department or the owners of the establishment regarding the origin of the fire or the extent of the damage.
