Hingham High School's girls' hockey team secured the MIAA Division 1 state championship with a 5-2 victory over Bishop Stang at TD Garden. The win marks Hingham's third state title and its first since 2011.

Senior captain Caroline Doherty led the Harborwomen with a hat trick, finishing her high school career with 152 goals. Her performance helped turn the game around after Bishop Stang took an early lead. She netted her first goal just 56 seconds into the second period, added another on a power play, and completed her hat trick late in the game.

Fellow senior captain Addy Garrity contributed a goal and an assist, while the team benefited from strong community support, with fans traveling to Boston despite the St. Patrick’s Day parade.

Head coach Courtney Turner credited the team’s depth and focus on competing with discipline and composure throughout the playoffs. Hingham finished the season with a 24-1-1 record and is poised to remain a strong contender in the coming years.
