Holly Hill Farm Hosts Its Second Annual “Holly Hill Hustle 5K”

Published on

This past Sunday, with blue skies and fresh fall breeze, runners gathered at Holly Hill Farm for its second annual 5K fundraiser. The course began at the farm on Jerusalem road in Cohasset and took runners through a beautiful coastal road in two 1.5 mile laps. This year for the first time, a kid’s lap took place before the 5K and children got the chance to run their own 1.5 mile lap.

The race was the perfect way to enjoy a fall day and appreciate Cohasset’s stunning scenery. It was also a way to support the farm. Holly Hill is Cohasset’s only working farm and has been farmed since the 17th century. Today Holly Hill and the non-profit organization, Friends Of Holly Hill farm supports the community with its programs and events like this one.

Holly Hill Farm’s farmstand brings fresh produce to the South Shore. Friends of Holly Hill Farm also introduces children to its animals and unique farm environment with its educational programs. In addition to Holly Hill Farm’s programs, it brings sustainability and gives back to the community through its donations of flowers and food to seven local food pantries.
