Shiv Kelly (Norwell High School, Class of 2025) was a multi-sport athlete who competed in both football and rugby during his senior year.

Kelly joined the Norwell football team as a senior, walking on as the team’s kicker and punter while also contributing as an offensive and defensive player. He helped lead Norwell to the Massachusetts State Semifinals in the 2024 season.

In rugby, Kelly played for the Hingham/Norwell program, continuing to develop as a forward and earning opportunities beyond the high school level.

In Summer 2025, he toured Wales with the New England FreeJacks U19 development squad, competing against top Welsh academy sides.

He then earned a Division I rugby scholarship to Siena University, where he made an immediate impact in Fall 2025, starting 7 of 8 D1 matches as a freshman.

Following his strong debut season, Kelly was selected to the Division I Collegiate Rugby Tri-State All-Star team and competed in the All-Star Championships in Atlanta in January 2026, appearing in all three matches.

He continues his freshman season in Spring 2026 as a member of Siena’s 7’s Rugby squad.

On Saturday (March 14) Kelly played for Siena University Rugby 7’s Team in the Monumental 7’s Tournament hosted by the New England Freejacks at Veterans Stadium in Quincy, MA.

This tournament was a National Collegiate Rugby qualifier leading to a place in the Collegiate National 7’s Championship.

Keep up the great work, Shiv!
