The Hanover High School softball team exploded at the plate Tuesday afternoon, delivering a 21-hit performance in a commanding 20-4 win over Pembroke in six innings. The victory lifts the Hawks to 3-2 overall and 2-1 in Patriot League play.

Senior captain Abby Hanna delivered a career day, going 5-for-5 with two home runs, a double, three runs scored and eight RBI. Her dominance at the plate set the tone for a Hanover lineup that was relentless from the first pitch.

Freshman Nora Barrett added a breakout performance of her own, going 4-for-5 with a double, five runs scored and three RBI. Junior Abby Minasi contributed three hits, including a triple, as the Hawks spread production throughout the lineup.

Senior Noey Giardina continued the power surge with a 2-for-4 day, smashing a home run and driving in three runs while crossing the plate three times herself.

In the circle, junior Talia Beer pitched five strong innings, striking out seven. She also helped her own cause with her first varsity home run, a double, and two RBI at the plate.

Hanover will look to carry the momentum into their next Patriot League matchup as they continue a promising early-season campaign.
