Hanover Softball Opens Season with 7-3 Win Over Plymouth North
Senior captain Noey Giardina leads the way as Hanover kicks off 2025 with a strong non-league victory
The Hanover High School softball team started its 2025 season on a high note, earning a 7-3 non-league win on the road against Plymouth North.
With the victory, Hanover begins the year 1-0 overall.
The Hawks collected 11 hits in the win, led by senior captain Noey Giardina, who went 3-for-4 at the plate with a double, scored two runs, and drove in one.
Freshman Abby Keddy also made a strong debut, matching Giardina with a 3-for-4 performance.
Junior Heather McGinnis added two hits, helping power the offense throughout the game.
On the mound, junior Talia Beer picked up the win. She struck out eight batters and walked two.
Hanover will look to carry its early momentum into the rest of the season as it begins Patriot League play.
