Hanover High School's softball team concluded its 2025 season with a 22–14 loss to Bishop Fenwick in the first round of the MIAA Division 3 state tournament on June 1. Despite a strong offensive showing, the Hawks were unable to contain the Crusaders' potent lineup.

Hanover amassed 16 hits during the game. Senior Noey Giardina led the offense, going 4-for-5 with a double, two RBIs, and three runs scored. Fellow senior Abby Hanna contributed a 3-for-5 performance, including her 11th home run of the season, four RBIs, and two runs scored. Junior Abby Miniasi added a 3-for-4 effort with two doubles, three RBIs, and two runs scored. Sophomore Lyda Heckathorn also recorded two hits.

The Hawks concluded their season with a 15–7 overall record and a 7–1 mark in the Patriot League's Fisher Division, sharing the division title with Plymouth South.

Earlier in the season, both Giardina and Hanna surpassed 100 career hits before the start of their senior year—a milestone many players aim to reach by graduation. Through their junior seasons, Hanna had 104 hits with a .505 batting average, eight home runs, and 103 RBIs, while Giardina had 102 hits, a .455 average, seven home runs, and 92 RBIs.

Their leadership extended beyond statistics. "We keep each other motivated by bringing each other's spirits up," Hanna said in an April interview. Giardina added, "I try to stay positive and give reassurance whenever someone strikes out or makes an error."

Freshmen Abby Keddy and Nora Barrett also made immediate impacts. Through the first five games, Keddy was batting .421 with eight hits, while Barrett hit .429 with nine hits and 11 runs scored.

While the playoff exit was disappointing, Hanover's 2025 season showcased a blend of experienced leadership and emerging talent, setting the stage for continued success in the years ahead.
