Letter: Paul Grady Seeks Reelection for Cohasset Select Board
I would like to announce my candidacy for re-election to the Cohasset Select Board and I ask for your support as we continue to improve upon this incredible town we all call home.
In my first term I am proud to say that as a town we have been able to bring some long outstanding issues facing our town to the table and to see them finally come to fruition. Working in partnership with our residents, our dedicated boards and committees, and our outstanding town employees, there has been an ongoing effort to revitalize Cohasset. I am grateful to have played a small role in seeing them through the process. These improvements include but are not limited to:
New Playground and Courts at Beechwood
New Tennis Courts with more to come at Millikan Field
Creation of a Roads and Sidewalks Safety and Connectivity Committee and a Stablization Fund, resulting in a clear and defined plan to step up improvements that benefit our town and in the safety of those who navigate our roads and sidewalks
Creation of a Capital Stablization Fund to better fund projects our town needs
School Stablization Fund to further address the well-being, safety , and maintenance of our schools and the children who attend them
135 King St Public Safety Building and Fire Annex and Elm St Fire Department improvements. I believe this incredibly important project is self-explanatory, as it pertains to the safety of our residents from all four corners of Cohasset and our outstanding Police and Fire Departments who ask for little but give so much
41 Highland Ave Town Hall. I am in favor of protecting this building as an asset to our town and am currently involved in working out a plan for its continued use as a seat of government and as a place that soon everyone will get to enjoy again
I have listed a few of the projects some complete and some in progress. Being goal oriented, I would like to see them over the finish line. I have been fortunate to serve as Vice Chair under two incredible Chairs - Jean Healey Dippold and Ellen Maher - and alongside some extremely talented board members. With your help, we have been able to accomplish quite a bit but there is more to do and I hope for your support. I would also like to add that we have another great candidate in Julie Rollins. Having worked with Julie on Roads and Sidewalks, she is an asset to our community and Cohasset is lucky to have her.
Thank you,
Paul Grady
