Steven "Steve" Paul Reilly, 71, of Kingston, passed away peacefully on April 30, 2026, surrounded by his loving family, holding the hands of his daughter Monique and his brother, Patrick Reilly.

Steve was born on February 8, 1955 in Plymouth to the late Robert and Shirley (Taylor) Reilly.

He attended Hedge Elementary School and Plymouth-Carver High School before proudly serving his country in the United States Marine Corps. Enlisting in 1974, Steve served honorably as a Private and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal. He was forever a proud Veteran. Steve spent much of his life working in service to his community, contributing his time and skills to the town of Marshfield, Plymouth where he was a Head Custodian, and the town of Duxbury.

Steve is survived by his daughter, Monique Cole of Plymouth; son Ryan Reilly of Plymouth; step children Tara Beale (Thomas) of Plympton; Shane Cormier (Lisa) of Boca Raton Fl.; David Snider (Kacee) of Loveland Co. Steve was the loving grandfather of Kendall Cole, Cody McDonald, and Oliver Snider. Former wife Susan Snider of Loveland Co; dear friend Lee Baker (Robert) of Carver. Siblings George (Buster) Reilly of Wareham, Linda Stairs of Taunton, Patrick Reilly (Debra) of Plymouth, Patricia Reilly of Plymouth, and Georgiann Cuddemi of Middleborough. He leaves behind many nieces, nephews, loved ones, and friends. Steve was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Shirley (Taylor) Reilly, sister Catherine Armstrong whom he held in dear memory, son in law James Cole, and nephew Robert (Robbie) Reilly.

Steve will be remembered as a loving and kind man whose generosity knew no bounds, with his heartfelt smile and toothpick in his mouth he would truly give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. He was always the first to offer a helping hand, either by fixing something for a neighbor or giving his time without hesitation. A true jack of all trades. Steve enjoyed life's simple pleasures, fishing, working in his yard, and tending to his flowers. He had a deep appreciation for antique cars and owned many throughout his life, at the time of his passing, he owned a 1974 Corvette. He enjoyed weekends at car shows and even traveled across the country to purchase a car. Steve also had a lifelong passion for motorcycles and attended the Harley Davidson school in Florida to become a certified mechanic. There was always something for sale in his yard, whether it was a motorcycle, car, or boat, showing a reflection of his hands on hard working nature. If you ever stopped by his home, chances were you'd find him watching his favorite Westerns on repeat.

Above all else, Steve was a devoted father and grandfather. His family meant everything to him, but his granddaughter held a uniquely special place in his heart. She was truly the light of his life. Steve often saw her daily and made it a priority to create meaningful moments with her, always going out of his way to make life feel special and full of love. Their bond was unmatched and will remain a lasting part of his legacy.

Steve's family will receive relatives and friends at Cartmell-Davis Funeral Home at 373 Court St. Plymouth, MA on May 11, visitation hours 4pm - 7pm. All are welcome to the funeral mass at Saint Mary's Parish on May 12 at 10 am with burial to follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Duxbury Senior Center. https://www.town.duxbury.ma.us/senior-center/whats-happening/pages/register-program
