Shirley L. (Marland) Neal

Shirley L. (Marland) Neal of Plymouth passed away on February 23, 2026 at the age of 90. She was born in Weymouth in 1935 to Stanley and Velma Marland.

Shirley was predeceased by her husband Gordon L. Neal. She leaves children Stephanie Adams (Dean Adams) of Lee, NH, Lynn Carbone of Plainville, CT, Gordon Neal Jr, of Plymouth, MA and Richard Neal (Maria Teresa Restrepo) of Glastonbury, CT. She also leaves her much loved grandchildren Brian Adams (Joycelyn Loughlin-Adams), Alejandro Restrepo-Neal and Ana Paz Restrepo-Neal, great-grandchildren Malcolm Adams and Samuel Adams. Her sisters and brother-in-laws, who meant the world to her, the late Janet Sullas (George) of Weymouth, Janice Jones (Edward) of Hingham, the late Deborah Allen (Daniel) of Halifax and Susan Packard (John) of Brockton, and many nieces and nephews.

After graduation from Weymouth High School, Shirley went on to be a nurse, working at Mass General, South Shore Hospital, John Dempsey Hospital and Jordan Hospital. Shirley was an avid reader and great cook. Her greatest joy was her children, grandchildren and family.

A private family service will take place at a later date.
