Richard F. Caproni
Richard F. "Rick" Caproni, 81, of Plymouth, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 2, 2026, at the Pat Roche Hospice Home in Hingham, MA. He was the beloved husband of Cynthia (Petrucci) Caproni with whom he spent 60 years of marriage and the son of the late Maurice and Elaine (Wheeler) Caproni.
Born on March 30, 1944, Rick grew up in Swampscott, MA and graduated from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where he met his wife Cynthia. Rick had a successful career as a Marketing and Sales leader in the leasing industry before retiring to The Pinehills in Plymouth, MA.
Rick was a proud family man who was deeply devoted to his wife, children and grandchildren. He provided endless love and support, cherishing every game, concert, and family event. A firm believer in living in the present, Rick brought his full self to every gathering, creating a lifetime of special memories for himself and those he loved.
Rick was deeply involved in the Plymouth community. He was a former Town Meeting member and a member of Plymouth First. He volunteered as a SHINE Counselor at the Center for Active Living, compassionately helping others navigate Medicare and other health care options, and for Meals on Wheels, delivering meals throughout the Plymouth area.
An avid golfer, Rick embraced life as an active and cherished member of the Pinehills community and spent his winters in Naples, Florida. He found great joy on the course and in the clubhouse, where he relished sharing stories, laughter, and a good meal with friends and family.
In addition to his loving wife Cynthia, Rick is survived by his daughter Leslie Cicilline and her husband Joseph of North Kingstown, Rhode Island his son Richard Caproni and his wife Dana of Sharon; and his grandchildren, Thea, Drew, and Joe. He was the father of the late Kristin Caproni.
Visitation with the Caproni family will be held on Friday, February 6, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Cartmell–Davis Funeral Home, 619 State Road, Plymouth (Manomet), followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Bonaventure's Church, 803 State Road, Plymouth (Manomet). Following the Mass, the family will receive friends and relatives at Mirbeau Inn and Spa, 35 Landmark Drive at the Pinehills in Plymouth, MA.
