Liam Benjamin Palmer

Liam Benjamin Palmer, 19, of Marshfield, Massachusetts, passed away on February 8, 2026. Liam was the beloved son of Molly Duffy-Palmer and Justin Palmer; cherished brother to Mae-Kathrine Palmer; and dear grandson of Barbie Rugg and the late Paul Rugg, Marsha Hatch, and the late Bradley Palmer. He is survived by his girlfriend Katie Barr and by many aunts, uncles and cousins who loved him dearly. 

Liam was known for his radiant smile, his easy-going spirit, and his ability to make everyone feel welcome. He was a friend to all, a bright light in every room, and someone whose laughter and warmth left a lasting impression on many hearts.

A lover of sports, Liam could be found on the diamond playing slow pitch softball and blooperball, doing what he loved most—being part of a team. Liam enjoyed a long football career with the Marshfield Rams, culminating in a Superbowl appearance his senior year at Gillette Stadium.

Outside of athletics, he was a movie and music enthusiast; Liam often referred to himself as "The Movie Guy." He found joy in simple moments and endless laughter shared with friends. His happy-go-lucky nature made him a joy to be around and a source of comfort and positivity for those who knew him best.

Liam aspired to be a firefighter, completing the Junior Cadet and EMT Program. Liam's sudden passing leaves a tremendous void in the lives of those who loved him, but his light continues to inspire everyone fortunate enough to have known him.

Liam was one of a kind, a true friend to all, remembered always for the happiness he brought to every moment. To know him was to love him.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, February 15, 2026 from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m., concluding with a memorial gathering at 4:00 p.m. at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street in Marshfield. All are welcome to attend and share a memory of our beloved Liam.
