David E. Martin

David E Martin, 81 of Pembroke, MA passed away peacefully on March 6th 2025 and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his daughters Jodi L. Hollister and her husband Steven, Kathleen S. Martin, and his son Douglas S. Martin. He was the grandfather of 4 grandchildren Gregory, Nikole, Emily and Silas. David also had 5 great grandchildren, Lucas, Evan, Noah, Kinsley and Dawson. David is survived by his sisters Judi S. Martin and Susan J. Parker as well as many nieces and nephews.

Born on August 27th, 1943, to the late Stanhope (Gray) and Edward Martin. He spent his childhood years along with his sisters on Block Island, RI. After the passing of his father the family moved to Attleboro, MA where David graduated from Attleboro High School and then attended Wentworth College.

He had a long and successful career in sales finishing his career for McDonald Cabinet & Countertop Distributors Inc, a job he flourished in and was very devoted to. David met and married his wife of 41 wonderful years, Andrea (Proctor) Martin. David was an avid coin collector for most of his life, a hobby he discovered through his own father. David and Andrea loved to travel and took many trips together along with their beloved dogs, Bandit, Gabby and Guiness.

David did quite a bit of camping, hiking, skiing and reading. He was a friend to all his neighbors. He enjoyed movie night, Friday luncheon with a great group of friends and thoroughly enjoyed watching all the kids grow and mature. He will be missed by all he touched as he was an independent and strong-willed man but with a soft kindness and a great pension for a good story!
