High Winds Cause Power Outage at Norwell Middle School

Published on

High winds caused a power outage at Norwell Middle School today.

Norwell Middle School Principal James Dupille sent a letter to parents examplaing the situation. In it, he said:

"Due to the inclement weather today, Norwell Middle School experienced a power outage. While the power was being restored, all students were directed to the gym, as the Norwell Fire Department checked the building. Students remained in the gym for approximately an hour. During that time, the Superintendent sent a message to families informing them of the power outage and the dismissal process for students.

The power was restored at 12:15, and the Norwell Fire department cleared all students to safely return to class.

Student safety was the top priority of the district and drove the decision making process today.

We would like to sincerely thank our families, students and staff for their cooperation throughout this fluid situation.  Thank you also to Superintendent Keegan and all of the District Personnel who came over to assist."
