Winter Family Fun Day Returns to Hale in Westwood
Free Jan. 10 event features hikes, crafts, cocoa, and camp tours
Winter doesn’t have to mean staying indoors. Families can enjoy the cold weather at Hale’s Winter Family Fun Day & Open House on Sunday, Jan. 10, at Hale, 80 Carby St. in Westwood. The free event features guided hikes, nature activities, arts and crafts, games, a family bike ride, and fireside treats including hot cocoa and s’mores.
Two sessions are available, from 10 a.m. to noon or 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Hale summer camp staff will be on hand to offer tours, answer questions, and share information about upcoming programs, with attendees receiving a special summer discount. A suggested donation of a local food pantry item is encouraged. The snow date is Sunday, Jan. 11.
