Hanover Dancers Perform with Broadway Icon Sutton Foster
On January 24th, select tap dancers from South Shore Dance Ensemble in Hanover performed with Broadway superstar and two-time Tony Award winner Sutton Foster at her sold out concert at the Emerson Colonial Theater in Boston.
With just 2 weeks to prepare for this performance, dancers learned the choreography to "Anything Goes" via a video provided by Broadway Director and Choreographer, Eric Sciotto. Eric visited SSDE on January 23rd to review performance details with the dancers and studio owners, Elaina Schlumper and Deirdre Lewis.
Dancers met with Sutton during the afternoon of the show for a run-through and blocking and then dancers took the stage that evening in front of a sold-out audience. This was an unforgettable, once-in-a-lifetime experience for these young dancers!
