Free Jacks launch ‘Hope Vault’ campaign
The New England Free Jacks have unveiled a new charitable initiative—The Free Jacks Hope Vault—connecting their on-field performance with critical off-field support for pediatric cancer research and families in crisis.
The campaign honors Jack Giorgio, a young fan battling a brain tumor, and will raise funds for the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation (PBTF), the leading nonprofit dedicated to fighting childhood brain cancer.
Over the next three matches—Rounds 6, 7, and 8—the team will work toward specific game-based objectives against Old Glory DC, Utah Warriors, and Miami Sharks. Each objective met will “unlock” one of three Hope Vaults, releasing donations for Jack and PBTF.
“Our team is inspired by Jack’s courage, and we want to rally our entire Free Jacks community behind him and this incredible cause,” said Free Jacks General Manager Tom Kindley.
“The Hope Vault gives us a way to tie our on-field success to something much bigger than rugby.”
Fans can participate by pledging a flat donation or contributing per try scored across the three matches. All contributions go toward supporting research and providing financial relief to families affected by pediatric brain tumors.
The initiative will culminate in a Lantern Ceremony during the Free Jacks' April 22 home match, symbolizing hope and honoring Jack’s journey. Supporters are also encouraged to attend the April 6 home game, where the Giorgio family will be present and fans can learn more about the Hope Vault effort.
As part of the campaign, Jack and his family have been invited to the Free Jacks’ April 5 Captain’s Run for a behind-the-scenes experience with players and coaches.
In addition to donating, fans can follow the Free Jacks on social media for updates on unlocked milestones, player highlights, and a check presentation planned to showcase the impact of the campaign.
The Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation has invested more than $50 million in research and provided $5.8 million in financial support to families since 1991. Its mission—Care. Cure. Thrive.—continues to lead the charge toward better outcomes and quality of life for children affected by brain tumors.
