COHASSET – The inspiring musical comedy, The Prom, comes to Cohasset Dramatic Club (CDC) for four performances from October 23-26, at the Scituate Center for the Performing Arts.

This lively and heartwarming musical centers on four flamboyant Broadway stars who travel to a small mid-western town to support a young woman who wants to invite her girlfriend to the prom, but who is banned instead. On a mission to transform lives (including their own), the aging, self-absorbed Broadway actors arrive to shine a spotlight the injustice. This leads the parents in town to go to extremes to keep the high school dance on the straight and narrow as they fight against change and one courageous student. With music by Matthew Skylar, lyrics by Chad Beguelin, and book by Bob Martin and Beguelin, The Prom inspires audiences with heart, humor and big show-stopping song and dance numbers to unite everyone through love and acceptance.

The Prom, featuring Cynthia Krebs-Lee as Dee Dee, Elizabeth Clancy as Angie Dickinson, Madison Pratt as Emma, and Caitlan Conrad as Alyssa, presents a strong, multi-talented ensemble from numerous South Shore communities including Cohasset, Scituate, Hingham and more. Cohasset Dramatic Club invites everyone to The Prom on October 23 & 24 at 7:00pm and October 26 at 1:00pm and 6:00pm, at the Scituate Center for the Performing Arts located at 606 Chief Justice Cushing Hwy.

Suggested audience age is 12 years old and above. More information at www.cohassetdramaticclub.org
