5th Grader Hosts Bake Sale to Benefit Marshfield Library
A 5th Grader’s Mission to Support Hoopla
Ruth Meberg, a 5th-grade student, reached out to the Ventress Library to express her love for Hoopla and her disappointment over the reduction in monthly borrows due to budget constraints. Wanting to help, Ruth proposed a bake sale fundraiser, demonstrating the power of community spirit and advocacy for public libraries.
The library met with Ruth and her mother, and agreed that the funds raised would be donated to the Friends of the Library, who would then contribute them to the library’s gift account to help increase Hoopla access for patrons.
To support this meaningful cause, everyone is invited to the bake sale at the library on Saturday, April 12, 2025, from 10 AM - 3 PM. All proceeds will go toward expanding Hoopla borrows, ensuring that more readers can enjoy eBooks, audiobooks, and digital materials throughout the year.
Support and baked goods are welcome! Contact the library for more information.
