Hingham Teams Advance to State Tournaments

Hingham Girls’ Hockey, Boys’ Hockey, and Girls’ Basketball Varsity Teams are all headed to the playoffs.

Hingham High School is making waves in winter sports as multiple teams advance to the State Tournament! Congratulations to the girls’ hockey, boys’ hockey, and girls’ basketball teams for their outstanding performances and earning a spot in the next round. Best of luck to all teams as they compete at the state level!

  • Hockey: Thursday, Feb. 27, at 6:00 PM vs. Lincoln-Sudbury at Pilgrim

GIRLS

  • Basketball: Tuesday, Feb. 25, at 6:00 PM vs. Bay Path Regional Voc/Tech at HHS

  • Hockey: Wednesday, Feb. 26, at 6:00 PM vs. TBD at Pilgrim

Wrestling Team Excels at Sectionals

The HHS Wrestling team had a strong February, beginning with the Division 2 South Shore Sectionals on Feb. 15. Twelve wrestlers advanced to the State Tournament on Feb. 22, and three wrestlers—Mykala Balonis (106), Ethan Kadish (113), and Tyler Grady (165, Captain)—have now secured spots in the prestigious All-State Tournament on March 8 in Methuen. HHS Ski Team Heads to MIAA State Championship

The HHS Ski Team wrapped up a fantastic regular season on Feb. 12 at Blue Hills. The girls' team finished second in the league, while the boys took third. Five talented Hingham skiers placed in the top 20 in the league and will represent Ski East League at the MIAA State Championship on Feb. 25:

  • Girls: Libby Rogers (1st), Isabel duBose (10th), Eva Perine (11th), Louisa Orth (20th)

  • Boys: John Doyle (13th)
