Taste of the South Shore Returns to Quincy on May 7

More than 25 vendors will support YMCA youth programs with food, drink, and live entertainment

QUINCY — The South Shore YMCA’s annual Taste of the South Shore will return for its 27th year on Wednesday, May 7, at the Hale Family YMCA, 79 Coddington Street in Quincy.

The event begins at 6 p.m. and is open to guests ages 21 and older. General admission tickets are $175, with an early bird rate of $150 available until April 10.

The event will feature more than 25 local chefs, caterers, bakeries, wineries, breweries, and distilleries. Guests will have the opportunity to sample a variety of food and drinks while enjoying live music, raffles, silent auctions, and a community-focused atmosphere. Proceeds support the South Shore YMCA’s youth programs, including youth sports and summer camps.

David Lombardo will serve as master of ceremonies. Guests will cast votes for “Top Taste” and “Top Sip” awards recognizing standout food and drink vendors.

The event is hosted by Jimmy Liang. Host committee members include Rob and Karen Hale, Dan and Patty DeMarco, Alex and Davis Clark, Kathie and Jack McDonough, Jay and Terry Asher, Heidi and Dan Russell, Julie and Mark Ellis, Bill and Barbara Walsh, Mike and Ann Mullin, Mark and Stephanie Bandzak, and Doug Briggs and Claudia Sorgi.
