The South Shore Children’s Chorus (SSCC) is thrilled to announce the return of its Encore Choral Retreat, scheduled from June 19 to 22, 2025. Now in its second season, this four-day program invites adult singers aged 18 and above to immerse themselves in music and community while experiencing the joy of choral singing.

The Encore Choral Retreat welcomes singers of all skill levels, from beginners to advanced, and no auditions are required. Participants will work on a varied repertoire, including classical choral pieces, a cappella arrangements, folk songs, and improvisational circle singing. Practice recordings will be provided in advance to accommodate different learning styles.

Rehearsals will take place in the evenings on Thursday, June 19, and Friday, June 20, with full-day sessions on Saturday, June 21, and Sunday, June 22, culminating in a public performance. Activities will be held at The Woodward School in Quincy and Scituate High School.

The program fee is $375 per singer, covering all rehearsals, materials, and the final performance. Registration is now open.

For more information or to register, visit sscchorus.org/encore or contact Lyjah Torres-Reyes at torresreyes@sscchorus.org.

This enriching retreat provides adult singers with the chance to refine their skills, connect with others who share a love for music, and enjoy a rewarding choral experience.
