May 1- Climate Resilience Forum in Cohasset
Cohasset residents will soon have a chance to shape the future of local flood resilience. The Cohasset Harbor Committee invites members of the community to a public forum titled “Climate Resilience Concepts at Cohasset Harbor” on Thursday, May 1, from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at Willcutt Commons.
This public workshop is being held to share and gather feedback on a range of conceptual solutions developed over the past two years to address flood risks in and around Cohasset Harbor—particularly in the areas of Cohasset Cove and the Summer Street/Black Horse Lane corridor.
As flooding becomes a growing concern, bringing with it rising insurance costs and challenges securing homeowner’s and flood coverage, community input has never been more important. Residents of low-lying neighborhoods—including Elm Street, Margin Street, Border Street, Summer Street, Black Horse Lane, and South Main Street—are especially encouraged to attend and share their perspectives.
