Full Moon Hike at World’s End Offers Enchanting Winter Experience

Nature enthusiasts and local residents are invited to experience the tranquil beauty of World’s End during a unique Full Moon Hike on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at 5:00 PM. Hosted by The Trustees of Reservations, this guided evening hike promises a memorable opportunity to explore the historic landscapes of the beloved South Shore destination under the glow of a full moon.

Participants will meander along century-old cart paths, surrounded by serene coastal scenery, as the sun sets and the moon rises over Hingham Bay. Along the way, guides will share insights into the traditional significance of February’s full moon and the rich history of World’s End, a 251-acre property once considered as a potential site for the United Nations headquarters.

“We’re thrilled to invite the community to experience the magic of World’s End at night,” said a spokesperson for The Trustees. “The combination of history, nature, and moonlight creates a truly unforgettable event that connects people to this special place in a new way.”

For those unable to attend in February, the Full Moon Hike will also be held on several other evenings, including March 13 at 6:30 PM and March 14 at 7:00 PM.

Participants are encouraged to dress warmly, wear sturdy footwear, and bring a flashlight. Pre-registration is required, and parking is included in the registration fee. In the event of inclement weather, registrants will be notified of cancellations or rescheduled dates via email.
