The fire broke out on December 10, 2024, and impacted multiple local businesses, including MAD Wellness, Perry Family Chiropractic, and Key Limo. All affected businesses have now reopened.

Face + Body Studio owner Meagan Scott described waking up to the devastating news that the business she and her team had spent a decade building had been severely damaged. Despite the overwhelming circumstances, Scott and her team remained committed to rebuilding.

"We are incredibly grateful for the support we've received from the community and our team," Scott said. "This journey has been challenging, but the comeback is truly better than the setback. We are excited to welcome our clients back and continue providing the exceptional services they have come to expect."

The months following the fire showcased strong community solidarity. The Marshfield Chamber of Commerce, local residents, and the Plymouth Area Chamber of Commerce stepped in to help. Community members contributed during the holiday season, while the Marshfield High School Rams Varsity Football team offered physical support, helping to clear out debris and prep the space for restoration.

Holiday gift card sales took place in the parking lot to keep revenue flowing, and donations from individuals helped employees through the winter.

In July, former employees, many of whom had exhausted their unemployment benefits, returned to help clean, paint, and rebuild the studio. Their combined efforts culminated in a successful reopening on July 29, 2025.

While the fire presented a formidable setback, Scott and her team have emerged stronger and more united. Their journey back was fueled by a dedicated community, a hardworking staff, and a shared belief that Face + Body Studio was worth saving.
