Keiko Orrall Named President/CEO of See Plymouth
Former MA Office of Travel & Tourism (MOTT) Director, Keiko Orrall, will take the reins of See Plymouth upon the retirement of President/CEO Lea Filson.
See Plymouth operates to promote tourism, the #1 economic development driver in Plymouth County. The tourism organization reports to two boards, Destination Plymouth (DP) and Plymouth County Development Council (PCDC).
“After nearly seven strong years of leadership, we are sad to say goodbye to Lea Filson, but wish her a wonderful and well-deserved retirement,” said DP Chair Stephen Cole. “We are confident we have found the perfect person to continue the work done for tourism in the Town and County of Plymouth.”
See Plymouth has 304 members from the town and county that believe investing in tourism is vital to the economy. Annual visitor spend in 2024 was $998,700,000.
“As a former state legislator, and former Director of MOTT, Keiko offers an unbeatable skill and experience level that brings new excitement to our industry,” said Deb Tanis, Chair of PCDC. “We are looking forward to bringing her ideas and expertise onboard.”
Among other accomplishments, See Plymouth has worked with many partners to bring Ride Circuit to Plymouth, offering free rides throughout the historic district as well as the introduction of American Cruise Lines to Plymouth Harbor.
“It has been the honor of a lifetime to work in tourism for Plymouth County and America’s Hometown, Plymouth,” said Lea Filson. “Besides two incredibly supportive boards, I have had the pleasure of working with a group of professionals that are adept and knowledgeable about tourism.”
Keiko Orrall will begin work on March 3rd.
