On December 30, 2024, the Hingham Police Department responded to various incidents, including motor vehicle accidents, medical emergencies, and reports of suspicious activity.

Motor Vehicle Accidents:

  • 9 Central St at 65 South St (6:53 AM): A two-car collision occurred with no reported injuries. One vehicle was towed from the scene.

  • 179 Lincoln St at 6 Crow Point Ln (2:23 PM): A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle but remained conscious and alert. The individual declined medical transport.

  • Derby St Overpass (2:26 PM): A rear-end collision involving a black Honda Civic and a grey Toyota RAV4 was reported. No injuries were reported, and parties exchanged information.

Suspicious Activity:

  • 90 Industrial Park Rd (12:39 AM): A suspicious vehicle was observed leaving a vacant property as officers arrived. The building and property were checked and found secure.

  • Solidcore, 94 Derby St (2:02 AM): Officers encountered a suspicious vehicle; it was determined to belong to cleaners working at the business. The vehicle was parked in an inappropriate location.

Other Incidents:

  • 16 Middle St (8:11 AM): A residential garage door alarm was accidentally triggered by cleaners.

  • 9 Green St (10:52 AM): A loose female dog without tags was found; the owner was located, and the dog was returned.
