The long-awaited Norwell Town Hall project is approaching its final stages, with construction expected to be completed by late March or early April. Town officials provided an update during the January 8, 2025, Select Board meeting, highlighting the progress made and the benefits of the new facility.
Town Administrator Darlene Sullivan praised the work of the construction crew, stating, “We have a really good construction crew on there. So that’s moving along very, very nicely. We’re still looking at maybe a late March, early April [completion date].”
The new Town Hall aims to modernize local government operations, offering improved facilities for employees and residents. Key upgrades include enhanced office spaces, a secure vault for records, and better accessibility.
Sullivan also noted the town’s proactive approach to preparing for the new space. “Thank you for the vote for the vault,” she said. “We were able to go next day and put in for the vault equipment and panels and those types of things. So that was a little bit of a lead time that we needed.”
Select Board Chair Jason Brown expressed optimism about the project’s progress and its positive impact on the community. “This has been a positive experience so far,” he said.
