Norwell residents will have an opportunity tonight, Sept. 30, to weigh in on the town's use of Flock cameras, with the Select Board planning a public discussion and the Police Department collecting questions and concerns in advance.
Town Administrator Chad Lovett told the board that the Police Department's website has been updated with information about Flock and a form residents can use to submit comments directly to the department.
“The police department website's been updated with some flock info and a spot to submit comments back,” Lovett said. “If you have comments, concerns, questions, there's a form on there to get it off to the chief.”
The cameras were not substantively discussed during the Sept. 16 meeting. Instead, officials directed residents to the information provided by the Police Department and encouraged them to participate in the upcoming Select Board discussion.
Vice Chair Lorenda Layne said residents who have questions or concerns can submit them through the department's form and attend the Sept. 30 meeting.
“Next meeting, please come and attend and we'd love to hear your questions or concerns,” Layne said.
