Duxbury Officer John Taglieri Receives Exceptional Service Award

News Staff

The Duxbury Police Department has awarded Officer John Taglieri the department’s Exceptional Service Award, recognizing his performance and contributions to the department.

The commendation followed a recommendation from Sgt. Rob Flynn, who formally nominated Taglieri for the department’s first Supervisor Award. In his recommendation to Police Chief Michael A. Carbone, Flynn cited Taglieri’s consistent professionalism and dedication to his duties.

According to the department, Taglieri is widely regarded by colleagues as a dependable officer who regularly assists fellow officers with calls and day-to-day operations. His willingness to help coworkers and support team operations was noted as a key factor in the nomination.

Department officials also highlighted Taglieri’s interactions with colleagues and members of the public, describing him as respectful and professional in his conduct.

After receiving Flynn’s recommendation, Carbone raised the nomination during the department’s most recent sergeants meeting. The group unanimously supported the recommendation, according to the department.

Following that endorsement, Carbone presented Taglieri with the Exceptional Service Award.

“Through his distinctive actions, steady leadership, and dedication to duty, Officer Taglieri has brought great credit upon himself and the Duxbury Police Department,” Carbone said in announcing the award.

The recognition highlights Taglieri’s service and his role supporting fellow officers and departmental operations.
