Cohasset Dominates Nantucket, Advances to Final Four

News Staff

The top-seeded Cohasset girls lacrosse team continued its dominant postseason run with a commanding 20-3 victory over No. 8 Nantucket in the MIAA Division 4 Elite 8 matchup on Saturday. The win propels the Skippers into the Final Four, where they will face off against Sandwich on Monday, June 10, at Scituate High School.

Cohasset (now 17-3) wasted no time asserting control, overwhelming the Whalers with a relentless offensive attack and airtight defensive play. The Skippers’ balanced scoring and aggressive tempo proved too much for Nantucket, who struggled to find rhythm against the tournament's top seed.

The victory marks another statement performance from a program that has consistently shown championship pedigree this season. With the win, Cohasset secures its place among the final four teams vying for the Division 4 state title.

The semifinal showdown against Sandwich promises to be a marquee matchup. Game time is scheduled for June 10 at Scituate High School.
