Martin J. Conley

Martin John Conley, age 83, of Marshfield, formerly of Norwell and Cohasset, passed away peacefully at his home on April 4, 2026. Marty is survived by his loving wife, Jacquelyn Murphy Conley, and his three children: Matthew Conley and his wife Judy, and their daughters Makenzie and Madelyn of Watertown; Megan Whoriskey and her husband Jay, and their daughters Emma and Abigail of Cohasset; and Alissa O’Brien and her husband Peter, and their children Addyson, Peter Joseph, Josephine, William, and Charlie of Scituate.

Marty was born on December 13, 1942, in Savin Hill, Dorchester, to Margaret Fitzgerald Conley and Martin F. Conley. The friendships he formed during his childhood in Savin Hill endured throughout his life, blessing him with a lifelong brotherhood. A mason by trade, Marty helped construct many buildings in Boston in his early years, including the Gillette Building. He later served for more than thirty years as Assistant Clerk Magistrate of the Superior Court for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

In his younger years, Marty enjoyed skiing and golfing with friends in Sugarloaf, Killington, and Myrtle Beach. Later in life, he cherished time spent in Harwich, where family and friends often surrounded him. Above all, he treasured time with his loved ones, especially his grandchildren. A kind-hearted and witty man, he will be forever missed.
