Louis J. Carpenito

Louis John Carpenito of Marshfield passed away on June 24, 2025, at the age of 75 after several years battling Alzheimer's disease. He is survived by his loving wife Jeanette (Richard) Carpenito; his children Eric, Christine and Steven; his grandson Vincenzo; his sister Louise and husband Angelo Marotta; and two nieces Kim Marotta, Joya Marotta and wife Lisa, and many cousins. He is predeceased by his parents George and Emanuella (Pasquariello) Carpenito and his brother Vince Carpenito and his wife, Patricia.

Louis grew up in Medford on Fulton Street and graduated from Medford High School, where he played football. Louis met his future wife Jeannette at the age of 24 while she was working at Jordan Marsh department store in Boston. After a 1-year courtship they went on to get married and start a family. He went on to receive an Associate Degree in Computer Technology, graduating with honors, from Bryant & Stratton and his bachelor's degree in business management, Major Management, graduating Cum Laude, from Northeastern University. His extensive knowledge, confidence, and strong work ethic led to a long and successful career in information technology including Digital Equipment Corp, Johnson & Johnson, Fidelity, Symantec and other companies as well as consulting. During his tenure Louis traveled extensively, sometimes with his wife at his side, all around the world from Italy to Germany, Paris, Japan, Holland, Ireland, England, and many others.

A devoted family man, Louis always put his family first and made time for family vacations, all captured in pictures and on video, cooked Italian dishes, and tended to the family garden. He loved animals and had many dogs over the years. He supported his political party both locally and nationally. He believed strongly in our country, the 2nd amendment, and was an ardent Patriot. He served his community as a Selectman in the Town of Mendon and on the Advisory Board in Marshfield. He celebrated our country on Independence Day often lighting off fireworks by the pool. He was a devout catholic and frequently donated to both the church and other charitable organizations. He was very involved with his two sons in Boy Scouts over the years. Christmas was his favorite holiday; he enjoyed and began very extravagant Christmas displays at young age while living with his parents. He continued this tradition decorating with his youngest son helping by his side throughout the years, making the paper winning Christmas decorations contests.
