Julia (Sheila) Kelly (Healy) age 83 of Kingston (formerly of Hanover) died peacefully surrounded by her loving family on January 16, 2026. Born in Cork City, Ireland on April 26, 1942. She is survived by her spouse of 63 years James N. Kelly. Daughter of the late John and Caroline Healy of Cork City, Ireland.
Julia is survived by her loving children, daughter Elizabeth Leaman and husband Mitch, daughter Caroline Frattasio and husband Chris and son John J. Kelly and his wife Elizabeth. She was a devoted grandmother to Ashley, Rachelle, Declan, Colin and Fiona. She (Nannie) was also cherished by her 4 great grandchildren.
Julia is survived by siblings David Healy, Edward Healy, Martin Healy, Caroline Murphy, Brenda O'Sullivan, Geraldine Isherwood and Robert Healy. She was predeceased by Tony and John Healy. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Julia was born and raised in Cork City, Ireland. The oldest of 10 children. In 1962, she met the love of her life at a dance in Cork City. They were married and immigrated to Boston in January 1963. They lived with family in Dorchester and later moved to the South Shore, raising their family in Hanover, MA.
Julia worked at Dunkin Donuts for 20 years and truly enjoyed greeting her regular customers every day. Julia loved to travel to Las Vegas to gamble her "tips" and enjoy time with her Bingo Buddies. She was an avid knitter, crocheter and sewer. It was the joy of her life to make Irish sweaters and blankets for her family. Julia loved to travel to San Diego to visit her daughter and travel to Ireland to spend time with her loving family.
When Julia and her husband retired, they moved to Kingston, MA to be closer to their family. Julia was deeply loved by all and will be truly missed.
Visiting hours in the Sullivan Funeral Home, 551 Washington St. Rte. 53, Hanover, on Friday, January 23rd from 4-7pm. A funeral mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Church, 403 Union St, Rockland, on Saturday at 9am. Burial to follow at Hanover Center Cemetery.
