Obituary courtesy Sullivan Funeral Home - Hanover.
Our family is deeply saddened to announce the death of Dana Horn on February 16, 2026. Dana was born on October 10, 1959 to the late Alfred Horn, Jr. and Laura Jean Horn. He was the fourth of five children and a lifelong resident of Hanover.
He was well known to town residents as Red Man. He walked everywhere around town and beyond, wearing red clothing and was (consequently) easily recognizable. He felt that red clothes would keep him safe on the roads.
Dana graduated from Hanover High School in 1977. Shortly after high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served for three years traveling the world. After serving, he returned to his homestead and lived with his late brother, Brett.
Dana was blessed with a very friendly smile and a giving spirit. He was extremely respectful and polite to everyone in his life. He never complained and always had good things to say about his family and friends. He lived his life his way. He will be sorely missed but always remembered. Many thanks to all of Dana's family and friends that helped him along the way. He was always well taken care of by all of you.
Dana is survived by his sister, Lori Hayes and her husband Paul and his brother, Ken Horn and his wife Kathy. He is predeceased by his sister Suzi Flanagan and brother Brett Horn. He was Uncle to Matt, Justin, Kris, Kyle, Kory, Paul, Jr. and Tammi.
Dana will be buried with his sister Suzi and brother Brett. A graveside service and celebration of life will be announced at a later date on social media.
In lieu of flowers, donations are welcome to Hanover Food Pantry, 495 Hanover Street, Hanover, MA 02339.
