Carol Miriam (Ajeman) Rinkus of Hanover passed away peacefully on Monday, March 16, 2026, at the age of 88. Born in Barnstable on March 6, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Warren and Edna Ajeman. She was the oldest sister of Roxanne Currier and her husband David, and Selby Dias. Carol was raised and educated in Rockland, where she met the love of her life, John "Jack" Julius Rinkus Jr. They married in June of 1963 and later settled in Hanover.

Carol loved hosting holiday gatherings, bringing family and friends together, and treasured time spent with her grandchildren. She enjoyed the sunshine and peaceful views of the beach.

Carol maintained a busy home, caring for her sons and warmly welcoming all who knew her. Carol was often found cheering at her sons' sporting events and spending summers at Scusset and Plymouth Beach, creating cherished memories with her family.

Carol was predeceased by her beloved husband, John "Jack" Rinkus Jr., and her youngest son, Derek Rinkus. She is survived by her three sons: John Rinkus III and his wife Lynne, Gary Rinkus and his wife Christine, and Marc Rinkus and his wife Ann, all of whom will never forget the love she brought to their lives. She was a devoted and proud "Grandma" to Shane and his wife Izzy, Gloria, Jack, Andrew, John IV and his wife Shannon, Brooke, Madison, Zachary, Bo, and Nicole Rinkus. She was also a proud great-grandmother to Sienna Capri Rinkus, and many nieces and nephews, as well as extended family and friends whom she cared for deeply.

Visiting hours will be held at Sullivan Funeral Home, 551 Washington Street Route 53, Hanover, on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Angels Parish - St. Mary's, 392 Hanover Street Route 139, Hanover, on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at 9:00 AM. Burial will follow at Hanover Cemetery, 47 Main Street, Hanover.
