The James Library & Center for the Arts is inviting regional artists to take part in its annual Spring Juried Art Show, an exhibition that will bring new artwork and creative voices to the heart of Norwell this spring.

The open call welcomes artists of all experience levels to submit original work for consideration in the juried exhibition, which runs from March through April. The show is a key part of the James’ seasonal programming and is designed to showcase a wide range of artistic styles, media and perspectives while offering artists an opportunity to display and sell their work in a professional gallery setting.

“The Spring Juried Show is always a highlight of our year,” said Liz Helfer, Director of the James Library & Center for the Arts.

“It brings a fresh energy to our gallery and allows us to connect our community with the incredible creative talent found throughout the South Shore and beyond.”

Artists interested in participating must apply through the James’ online submission portal. Applications require digital images of the artwork, an artist statement and any applicable entry fees. The submission deadline is March 2, 2026.

The James Library & Center for the Arts is housed in a historic 1874 Victorian building in Norwell Center and operates as a nonprofit cultural institution. In addition to serving as a lending library, the James features a professional concert hall and a contemporary art gallery, offering a range of educational and cultural programming for all ages.

More information about the Spring Juried Art Show, including the full prospectus and submission form, is available at www.jameslibrary.org.
