Build robots. Kayak through Dorchester Bay. Learn AI from an MIT-trained instructor. Score goals on BC High’s turf fields.

BC High’s summer camps are giving South Shore kids more ways to stay active, creative and curious this summer with programs ranging from coding and cooking to sports, swimming and city adventures.

Registration is now open for BC High’s summer camps programs, which offer half- and full-day options for students entering kindergarten through senior year of high school. For families looking for summer support, there is also a full array of academic programs for students entering grades 6-12.

All camps are co-ed except for sports camps. To make attending even easier, campers are welcome to bring their own lunches or they can purchase lunch from the school’s cafeteria.

Build Robots, Create Art and Explore AI

BC High’s specialty camps are designed for kids who want to create, experiment and try something new.

Students in grades 3 through 8 can build Lego robots, solve Minecraft-based challenges and even explore rocket science through a Roblox game inspired by NASA’s Mission to Mars.

The school is also expanding its technology offerings this summer with camps focused on artificial intelligence and social media algorithms, including instruction connected to MIT’s nationally recognized “Day of AI” program. Two sections are available- one for campers in grades 4-6 and another for campers in grades 7-9.

For campers who prefer creativity over coding, there are cooking classes, art camps featuring painting and sculpture, and even a Dungeons & Dragons program that blends storytelling, teamwork and imagination.

A Week of Boston Adventures

For kids ready to get off campus and explore the city, BC High’s “Adventures in Boston” camp offers a week packed with field trips and outdoor fun.

The full-day program for ages 11 to 14 runs June 22 through 26 and includes daily excursions across Greater Boston. Campers will play mini golf at Puttshack, take in skyline views at View Boston, zipline at TreeTop Adventures in Canton, kayak in Dorchester Bay, and cruise the harbor on Codzilla in Boston.

Classic Summer Camp Memories Start Here

Younger campers can enjoy a more traditional summer experience through Eagle Day Camp, which combines outdoor play with music, arts, sports, swimming, and special guests.

Designed for children ages 5 to 10, the camp includes swim lessons, scavenger hunts, arts and crafts, games and group activities. Families with children ages 5 through 7 can choose either full-day or half-day sessions.

The program emphasizes independence, friendship and summer fun in a structured environment, with a 1-to-5 camper-to-staff ratio and both outdoor and air-conditioned indoor spaces.

Two-week sessions run from early July through late August.

Sports Camps Keep Athletes Moving

BC High’s sports camps give athletes entering grades 4 through 12 the chance to stay active and sharpen their skills during the offseason.

Campers can focus on baseball, basketball, football or soccer, or participate in all-sports and strength-and-conditioning programs. Free swim time in the school’s indoor pool is also included with some of the camps.

The camps make full use of BC High’s athletic facilities, including the turf field, football field and two gymnasiums.
