Bestselling author/illustrator and Caldecott Honoree Brian Lies joins us December 6 for a very special Saturday Story Time! His new children's picture book, Cat Nap, introduces a sleepy kitten whose afternoon nap transforms into an epic journey through art, time, and history. With lush paintings and intricately constructed 3-D artwork, Cat Nap is paw-fect for fans of They All Saw a Cat, Museum Trip, and Jumanji.
Brian will read his book, demonstrate his illustration process, and sign copies. We'll also have a scavenger hunt, a special Cat Nap art display, and book-related giveaways. Finally, don't miss Brian's Cat Nap car, which will be parked in front of the store!

Brian Lies is the New York Times bestselling creator of Bats at the Beach, Bats at the Library, Bats at the Ballgame, Bats in the Band, and the Caldecott Honor book The Rough Patch. He has written and/or illustrated dozens of other acclaimed books for children. He lives with his family in a small seaside town in Massachusetts, where he tends a big and thriving garden.
