NORWELL – Established architecture and design firm Habeeb & Associates is proud to announce that it has named a new President. Kevin Provencher AIA, LEED AP, has assumed leadership of the 27-year-old South Shore-based firm, succeeding Founding Principal Steven C. Habeeb AIA, LEED AP, in the role. The succession is part of a greater strategic initiative to continue H&A’s growth and evolution, while maintaining the firm’s strong profile across New England and nationwide.
Provencher joined H&A in 2019 as Director of H&A’s Worcester office, leading teams on a wide range of projects. As a team leader, his projects have included renovations, historic preservation, and new construction, with a particular focus on sustainable design. His 30 years of experience in architecture and design will continue to add value to the firm’s portfolio, while his vision and leadership will guide cultural development and business strategy in the coming years. This includes mentoring young designers and seeking not only to create exceptional projects, but to continue cultivating exceptional talent.
Of his new role, Provencher commented: “I am extremely honored to be leading this terrific group of design professionals who love what they do, and bring their absolute best to our practice each day – it is inspiring to me and a source of real pride as a leader.” Provencher notes that he sees the future of H&A as promising, given the firm’s creative and pragmatic approach to design work and to extending the life of existing buildings. “The Commonwealth has so many beautiful legacy buildings, which we believe should be preserved and improved wherever possible. We embrace the belief that the most sustainable building is one that already exists.”
H&A founder and former President Steven C. Habeeb AIA, LEED AP will continue with the firm, offering mentorship and oversight to emerging professionals, guiding master planning and educational programming efforts, and conducting strategic business development.
