Nick Puleo is an Emmy Award-winning storyteller and the publisher of the South Shore Times, a locally owned and nonpartisan digital news platform serving communities south of Boston. His writing has appeared in The Patriot Ledger, Barron’s, The Boston Business Journal, CityBiz, and O’Dwyer’s.
A lifelong South Shore resident, Nick believes in the power of local connection. He founded the South Shore Times on the belief that communities are stronger when citizens have access to open and unbiased information about local government, when they can connect meaningfully with local businesses and nonprofits, and when they hear the stories of people making a difference.
Nick began his journalism career at The Patriot Ledger as a college co-op student and later a freelance contributor. Like many, he has lamented the erosion of trusted local journalism amid a growing tide of disinformation, performative outrage, and ideologically driven content that undermines civic trust. He believes that locally owned, independent journalism is essential to civic life.
Nick lives in Hanover with his wife and children.
